From writing to singing and acting, Seth MacFarlane is a man of many talents. And while he's starred in his share of live-action projects, including outer-space series The Orville, MacFarlane is best known (adored, actually) for his dynamic range of cartoon voices. So when he visited The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallonyou know that Host Jimmy Fallon had to ask MacFarlane to bust out a few of his most beloved characters.

Not only did MacFarlane happily oblige, he rose to the very specific challenge of sharing each character's New Year's resolution.

But first, Fallon wanted to know about MacFarlane's latest project: A 1990s-set prequel series to his Ted films, which finds MacFarlane reprising the voice of the often-inappropriate stuffed bear.

MacFarlane told Fallon he couldn't have predicted that the character he conceived for the 2012 film would spawn a sequel and a TV show. "At one point, [Ted] was going to be a hand puppet, because nobody wanted to pay money for the CGI," he revealed. Ted's seven episodes premiere on Peacock on January 11.

Fallon used his Ted talk to segue into a request. "I do this to you, and you can always say no, but it's too late now," Fallon began, before issuing his character challenge to MacFarlane. "Maybe we could hear what each of these characters have to say—maybe their New Year's resolutions?"

First up: Family Guy's Peter Griffin. "I'm gonna to start by shoplifting from Wetzel's Pretzels, because, like, what are they going to do? Jump over the counter and kill me for a pretzel?" MacFarlane's effortless shift into Peter's Massachusetts accent made Fallon and the crowd cheer with delight,  "No. You don't have the guts to kill me, Wetzel's Pretzels."

MacFarlane moved on to a perfect Stewie Griffin ("Starting today, no more diaper. I'm going to hold it—uh oh. So maybe in 2025"), Brian Griffin, and Glenn Quagmire.

"How about Seamus?" Fallon asked, referring to Family Guy's wooden-limbed fisherman.

"Do you guys even know who Seamus is?" MacFarlane asked, as the audience applauded in confirmation. "I want to get into yoga, so I can stretch my pegs," he Seamus-ed. He then tackled American Dad's Stan Smith, as well as grey space alien Roger.

"And, finally, what is Ted's New Year's resolution?" Fallon said.

No problem. "You know, I want to travel more...because uh, I've been meaning to visit your mother's bedroom," MacFarlane said, proving that he truly created Ted in every sense.
