What's Next For Huntley? The Voice Winner to Perform at NFL Game This Weekend
The Season 24 victor will sing the National Anthem and perform at halftime for the Bills vs. Chargers game.
Having conquered The Voice’s stage, Season 24’s winner, Huntley, is headed next to a football field. The 33-year-old country-rock singer, who was named the winner during the season finale earlier this week, will make his next public appearance playing the halftime show at an NFL game when the Buffalo Bills play the Los Angeles Chargers this Saturday.
Huntley, who earned a Four-Chair Turn during his Blind Audition before eventually making it to the Finals and earning Coach Niall Horan his second consecutive victory on The Voice, will start the game by singing the National Anthem ahead of kickoff. He will also perform a special halftime show.
Huntley’s performances, as well as the rest of the Bills vs. Chargers game, is streaming exclusively on Peacock with coverage beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET. (Football fans in the local Buffalo or Los Angeles markets will be able to catch the game on their TVs.)
It’s unknown at this time what Huntley will perform for his halftime set, so fans should tune in to find out.
Huntley fresh off The Voice Season 24 victory
Huntley, who lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia, was an instant favorite on Season 24 of The Voice when all four Coaches, Horan, John Legend, Reba McEntire, and Gwen Stefani, turned their chairs when he performed the Black Crowes’ “She Talks to Angels” for his Blind Audition. Huntley opted to choose Horan as his Coach, and his distinct raspy voice found continued success.
Throughout the season, Hutley performed Hootie & the Blowfish’s “Hold My Hand,” Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead or Alive,” and David Kushner’s “Daylight.” during the live shows, he sang The Beatles’ “With a Little Help From My Friends,” Taylor Swift’s “exile,” KALEO’s “Way Down We Go,” and Tom Odell’s “Another Love.”
His Coach, Horan, joined Huntley to sing “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” by Bob Dylan, during the finale.
Huntly beat out several other talented contestants to win Season 24 of The Voice, including the other four finalists. He bested Mara Justine from Team Niall, Lila Forde from Team Legend, and Ruby Leigh and Jacquie Roar from Team Reba.
