Huntley: Everything to Know About The Voice Season 24 Winner

From start to finish, the brash Virginia rocker has powered to the top of this season’s short list of contenders.

By Benjamin Bullard

He’s belted out rockers and powered through soulful ballads, but one thing’s remained consistent about Huntley’s journey through Season 24 of The Voice: The guy just never seems to miss a musical step.

How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

As one of just five finalists who made it to the The Voice's Season 24 finale, the Team Niall standout had what was needed to hand Coach Niall Horan his second consecutive win. Huntley’s track record was strong across all of his appearances so far — so there’s no time like the present to look back at how his journey on The Voice has unfolded so far.

Did Huntley win The Voice Season 24?

Yes! Huntley made it to the final two contestants left in Tuesday night's finale, alongside Ruby Leigh, and Huntley was crowned the winner of The Voice Season 24.

A dedicated dad who’s recently found his musical footing with regional touring gigs all over his home state of Virginia, Huntley got off to the hottest possible start on The Voice this season. In Blind Auditions, he flipped all four Coaches with an amazing rendition of The Black Crowes’ “She Talks to Angels,” all as his family looked on while the Coaches gushed with early praise. “I’m worried that you might win this show," Gwen Stefani confessed in her awestruck Blind Audition comments.

That Four-Chair Turn gave Huntley his pick from among The Voice’s four famous musical mentors this season — and in a new twist on contestants choosing their Coach, Huntley brought his daughter Stella onstage to let her make the final decision. Her choice? To have dad squad up with Team Niall.

In the show’s Battles round, Huntley made even bigger waves with the Coaches, joining up with fellow Team Niall member Brailey Lenderman for a cool duet cover of Hootie & the Blowfish’s “Hold My Hand.” It was clear even then that Huntley’s stage swagger and vocal craft made for a sweet combination.

The Coaches’ praise kept flowing as Huntley sailed through the Knockouts, with Horan stating matter-of-factly that he’d just witnessed “the best Knockout I’ve ever seen on this show.” Huntley’s gritty performance of Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead or Alive” won the day, even as Team Niall standouts Noah Spencer and Claudia B. delivered powerhouse covers of their own.

For the Playoffs, the rock vibes scaled back to reveal more of Huntley’s soulful side — but the change of musical pace only validated what all four Coaches had long been feeling about the rock ’n’ roll crooner. "It’s the best you’ve ever sung” on the show, said Horan of Huntley’s brooding version of David Kushner’s goth-pop ballad “Daylight.”

Meanwhile, John Legend (who’s enjoyed his own stacked team of talent all season long) said there’s a definite path to stardom in Huntley’s future. “What you’re giving us on stage is well beyond a competition,” Legend praised after being stunned yet again by Huntley’s vocal versatility. “You’re already a star.”

As the Live Rounds have since gone on to prove, Huntley is performing among truly talented company as one of the show’s five remaining Season 24 Artists. Along with Jacquie Roar, Lila Forde, Mara Justine, and Ruby Leigh, he made it to the final phase of competition as The Voice counted down to its dramatic two-part conclusion on December 18 & 19.
