What to know about Suits L.A. and Stephen Amell

On February 1, it was officially confirmed that a Suits spinoff, titled Suits L.A., will be coming to NBC. Two weeks later, it was announced that Amell was cast as the lead character, Ted Black.

The producers for the show describe Ted Black as "a charismatic force of nature who puts his own needs above others. Ted is a former New York prosecutor who joined forces 15 years ago with his old buddy, Stuart Lane, to build an L.A. law firm that specializes in criminal and entertainment law."

As for the plotline for Suits L.A. a press release states the following:

His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while events from years ago slowly unravel that led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.''

The premiere date has yet to be announced, but the pilot is expected to begin production in March of 2024 in Vancouver, Canada.
