Thanksgiving Is Over But Seth Meyers' Kids Dressed as Turkeys Remains a Holiday Gift

Most families have at least one holiday tradition—and in Seth Meyers' family, one tradition in particular plays out annually on TV. Every year, members of Meyers family pay a visit to Late Night with Seth Meyers to share memories (much like Meyers and his brother, Josh Meyers do on their "Family Trips with the Meyers Brothers" podcast). Their appearance also heralds an additional, extremely adorable tradition: The arrival of the yearly "Meyers kids dressed as turkeys" clip.

"Ever since I started having kids, is we dress them up like turkeys," Meyers explained on the November 23 episode featuring Meyers' parents and brother. "They come in for like five minutes, and then we edit together a video of them dressed as turkeys."

"Now at some point, the kids are going to realize they don't want to do this anymore," Meyers continued, summarizing the parenting journey in a nutshell. "But right now, they're still excited about the turkey clip. We don't know when the turkeys are going to stop happening! I enjoy every moment of the turkeys, because it's very fleeting."

The 2023 edition marked the debut of Meyers' youngest child, daughter Adelaide, added to the mix. "Last year, Addie was just one year old. She was just rolling around," Meyers went on. "She wasn't bringing a lot of fastball to the game." 

This year, Meyers' daughter is sitting like a pro—and jumping and dancing with her brothers, who gobble and dance on the couch as Seth Meyers' dog, Frisbee, endures on the couch next to them. Watch the super-cute clip above.

How many kids does Seth Meyers have?

Seth Meyers and his wife, Alexi Ashe, have three children: Ashe Olsen Meyers, Axel Strahl Meyers, and Adelaide Ruth Meyers, who the couple welcomed in 2021. 

The birth of Meyers and Ashe's second child, Axel, famously occurred in the lobby of their apartment building in 2018. Meyers recounted the experience in rich detail in his aptly-named 2019 Netflix special, Lobby Baby, and on the show the very day after it happened. 

"I looked at my wife, and the only way I can describe how my wife looked was that she looked like someone who was hiding a baby in a pair of sweatpants," he recounted. "It was like somebody was trying to sneak a baby on a plane."

"I called 911 and over the course of a minute conversation, I said, 'we're about to have a baby. We're having a baby...we had a baby."
