The First Look at NBC's New Night Court Is Here—And Fans Are Loving It

All rise!

By Jackie Manno

Your first look at NBC's new Night Court is here, and the whimsical legal antics are back and better than ever.

How to Watch

Watch Night Court on NBC and Peacock.

In the hilarious new clip, Judge Abby Stone (Melissa Rauch) is seen dealing with some whacky cases while she attempts to reconnect with the Night Court's former district attorney, David Fielding (John Larroquette).

"Its very much a continuation of the show I love so much," explained Rauch. “[Stone] really wants to make a difference, she’s an eternal optimist."

“They gave me this fancy wooden hammer, so I kind of get to do what I want!” Rauch’s character, Abby, says with a smile in the new clip.

Not only does the show boast a quirky premise, the actors have top-notch comedic chops. “Being back on Night Court, seeing the new, fresh faces of these very talented comedians who I’m working with, makes it worthwhile,” said Larroquette.

“John’s always up to some kind of mischief and throwing things in that we never saw coming,” adds India de Beaufort, who plays Olivia, the court’s assistant district attorney.

“It's really become this amazing workplace family,” Rauch said.

“It's filled with crazy characters,” revealed Lacretta, who plays Donna "Gurgs" Gurganous, the court’s bailiff. And based on this first look, she certainly isn’t exaggerating
