Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb Are Dropping a Christmas Single

The TODAY co-anchor spilled the news during her visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with twin Barbara Pierce Bush.

Move over Mariah, Cher, and Kelly Clarkson. Two new Christmas queens are coming for the crown—and it's a famously dynamic duo.

How to Watch

Twin sisters, authors, and former White House residents Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Pierce Bush paid a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on November 20, to talk about their latest book together, Love Comes First. Yet Hager had additional exciting news to share.

"I have a huge announcement tonight, guys," Hager told the audience. First, like the skilled Host she is in her own right, the TODAY anchor properly amped the audience up about Jimmy Fallon and Meghan Trainor's "Wrap Me Up" single. Then Bush Hager spilled her big news.

"Hoda and I are about to drop our first Christmas single," Hager revealed.

The lowdown on Jenna and Hoda's 2023 Christmas song

You might not immediately associate the TODAY with Hoda & Jenna co-anchors with "music" part of their new Christmas music, though they're no strangers to holiday cheer: Kotb is a mainstay at both the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Christmas in Rockefeller Center tree lighting.

Hager joked to Fallon that "it's going to be really somethin'," adding that she hopes to return for a performance after its release.

"Have you invited her?" Pierce Bush chimed in.

"She's here now!" Fallon said.

"So that means I'm not invited back for round two," Hager teased back. "I can tell Hoda."

The song, Hager said, is called "A Carefree Christmas," and she's not entirely sure when it hits iTunes and Spotify.

"I've never dropped a single before," she said. "I mean, we were in the booth, there's a video..."

Stay tuned on the release date for "A Carefree Christmas"—both the song *and* the video.

Which Bush twin was born first?

Barbara Pierce Bush is older than Jenna Bush Hager. Technically.

"By one minute," Pierce Bush, who bears a strong resemblance to their mother Laura Bush, told Fallon.

"Don't youth shame me!" Hager joked.

Fallon shared a holiday photo of the Bush twins in their awkward years (Hager is wearing a Dwight Shrute-esque yellow button down and tie in the pic, for one), posing with their grandparents George and Barbara Bush.

"I mean, it really shows the...creative freedom our mother gave us," Hager said about the outfit. "Michael Bolton was my favorite singer, and I look like I'm dressing as if I'm him."

We'll have to wait and see if the outfit resurfaces in Hoda and Jenna's "A Carefree Christmas" video.
