Unfortunately, viewers will have to wait a bit for the next fresh installment. There will not be a new episode of Dateline NBC on Friday, March 29, 2024.

When will Dateline return with new episodes?
The good news is that the wait won’t be long. Dateline NBC returns with an all-new mystery to crack on Friday, April 5, 2024.
Already this year, Dateline NBC has told the story of the brazen killing of young mom Heather Strube. The 25-year-old was gunned down in broad daylight in a Target parking lot, as her toddler son looked on, by a killer wearing a disguise. The case would take a stunning twist that had veteran Dateline correspondent Dennis Murphy warning viewers that the truth is sometimes more complicated than what meets the eye.
Dateline also explored the murder of Baltimore firefighter Jon Hickey, who was found dead on his couch in 2017. The investigation that followed would reveal hidden secrets, a complex love triangle and surveillance footage that would help unravel the case and track down a killer.
Also this month, Dateline NBC brought fans along for the dramatic conclusion of the Jennifer Dulos murder case. Jennifer, a Connecticut mother of five, vanished in May of 2019 after dropping her children off at school. Dulos’ estranged husband Fotis Dulos died at a hospital in 2020, two days after a suicide attempt at his home, and weeks after being charged in his wife's murder.
Fotis’ girlfriend Michelle Troconis was left to answer for her role in the crime. Troconis was convicted in early March of 2024 for conspiracy to commit murder after prosecutors argued she had helped Fotis pull off the bold crime.
