Is Chicago P.D. New Tonight, March 13? What We Know

The next time you'll see Voight and the rest of the Intelligence Unit in a new Season 11 episode.

By McKenzie Jean-Philippe

Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) was at the center of the action on Chicago P.D.'s last episode, Season 11, Episode 6's "Survival." And with that surprise ending, we're incredibly eager to see what's next for the leader of the Intelligence Unit. But it looks like we'll have to wait just a little bit longer.

How to Watch

Watch Chicago P.D. Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Below, find out when we'll see Voight's latest storyline continue pick-up where it left off.

Is a new episode of Chicago P.D. on tonight, March 13?

No. Just like the rest of the One Chicago shows this month, Chicago P.D. is currently on a brief hiatus and will not air new episodes on Wednesday, March 6 or Wednesday, March 13.

When is the next new episode of Chicago P.D.?

Chicago P.D. returns March 20 at 10/9c with Season 11, Episode 7 "The Living and the Dead," another Voight-focused episode. NBC's synopsis is: "An ongoing case hits close to home for Voight as Intelligence teams up with an SVU detective to track down a prolific offender."

Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar) appears in Season 11 Episode 6 of Chicago P.D.

What happened on Chicago P.D. in the last episode?

Episode 6's "Survival" was Voight's first episode of the season. With the death of his son, Justin, fresh on his mind, Voight began investigating an intense abduction case. He also stared to become close to the victim, a teen runaway named Noah.

The Intelligence Unit found Noah, but didn't make any significant developments in identifying his abductor, so the case is still open. And in a surprise twist, in the final scene of the episode, Chapman discovers that Voight has brought Noah home to stay with him.

Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) appears in Season 11 Episode 6 of Chicago P.D.

"I think it hearkens back to Voight and his card, you know, he used to have this CPD business card that he would give out to people," showrunner Gwen Sigan told NBC Insider. "If you kind of look at who he really connected with, it was always these, these young fighters, you know. These, these people who were survivors... So that's what Noah was to us. And he's this kid that is incredibly sweet and is such a survivor. Been through hell, and is just trying to get to the other side of it. And I think Voight sees that fight, and Voight sees that gentleness that this kid had, and it kind of wakes something up in him of wanting to help him."

She continued, "You obviously see mirrors of that with this young boy Noah, and sort of what he represents to Voight. And accessing this part of Voight that has been dormant for a long time. And wanting to show Voight opening up a bit more, and forming a connection with this child. And making him think of some of these people and these loved ones that he's lost. And you know, kind of in a very subtle way opening the question of, does he want any of that again?"
