What to know about "Suspicious Minds" by Elvis Presley

Released in 1969 off Presley's album Elvis in Memphis, "Suspicious Minds" peaked at the number-one position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart that year.

In 2021, Rolling Stone put "Suspicious Minds" on the 70th position on its "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" list, referring to the song as Presley's "masterpiece."

"He sings so intensely through the fade-out that his band returns for another minute of the tear-stained chorus," the outlet wrote.
