Gisele Bündchen Reveals She "Almost Died" in an Iceland Photo Shoot

"I would have been dead in seconds," said the supermodel told a shocked Jimmy Fallon.

Gisele Bündchen had a terrifying experience during a photo shoot in Iceland, she revealed to a shocked Jimmy Fallon on March 21.

How to Watch

On March 21, Bündchen played a round of "True Confessions" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, a game in which Fallon has to determine if the stories the guests tell are true or lies.

Gathered around a small table under a bright spotlight, Bündchen faced off against Fallon and fellow guest Wayne Brady, choosing an envelope that contained a confession.

"I did a photoshoot on a fake iceberg in Iceland, and I almost fell off into the ocean," Bündchen said, reading off the card from one of the envelopes.

As Fallon and Brady tried to determine if she's telling the truth or not, they asked for more details, such as what year this supposed photoshoot happened.

"I think it was 1997, 1998," Bündchen responded. "It was a fake iceberg in the middle of the real icebergs. I would have been dead in seconds because you know what happens when you fall inside of the freezing water of the icebergs? Seconds, you're dead. Dead!"

The supermodel fails to convince them, and Fallon and Brady both think she is lying about her iceberg experience. Turns out, it actually happened.

"It's true. It was called for this fragrance called Oxygène," Bündchen explained to a stunned Fallon. "You got to google it, you can see it actually! I was supposed to be in the slip dress, while the crew was in the boat with huge puffer jackets and in life vests. I was in this slip dress being like, 'Oxygen, oxygen,' she said, mimicking breathing in the Icelandic air. "But I'm alive, so thank God I'm here."

Then it was Fallon's turn to confess, and his story involved getting hit with a car the night before hosting the MTV Movie Awards. Brady's was about stealing a kid's birthday cake after performing at a party dressed as a Power Ranger, back in the early days of his acting career. Does Bündchen believe either of them?

Later in her interview with Fallon, the two talked about starring in 2004's Taxi together, and how Bündchen was disappointed when she didn't get to actually drive the car during an action sequence while filming the comedy.

"If I can be on an iceberg, I can drive a fast car," she said.

Turns out Bündchen isn't the only recent Tonight Show guest to have a near death experience in Iceland: Saturday Night Live musical guest Kacey Musgraves told Fallon she almost fell off a cliff while filming a music video there.
