On August 4, America's Got Talent Season 12 Winner Darci Lynne posted a video of her singing a gritty version of the hit tune "Vampire" by Olivia Rodrigo, and totally didn't disappoint.
In the clip, Lynne's voice climbed up the scale of the song, hitting some difficult notes along the way. She belted her heart out while still managing to sound controlled, and then, she hit the song's signature high note in the chorus in a way that will send chills down your spine.
"Attempting Vampire," she wrote. Attempting? More like nailing!

What to know about "Vampire" by Olivia Rodrigo
The first single off of Rodrigo's sophomore album Guts, the critically-acclaimed piano rock ballad "Vampire" reached the number one position on the Billboard charts in July 2023. The lyrics tell the story of feeling resentment towards a manipulative ex-boyfriend.
'There’s an unhurried emotional logic to the track’s structure, mirroring a young woman’s gradual understanding of her own agency," Pitchfork wrote of the track.
