Pauline Quirke stars as Paula Winton, Jamie's (Mathew Baynton) mother, on NBC's apocalyptic comedic drama "You, Me and the Apocalypse."
 
Quirke is best known for her role as Sharon Theodopolopodous on the British comedy series "Birds of a Feather," which stayed on the air for 15 years. Her other television credits include the award-winning drama "Broadchurch," "The Sculptress," "Emmerdale," "Missing," "The Bill," "Down to Earth," "Being April," "Shine on Harvey Moon," "Angels" and "Maisie Raine."
 
She has received the Royal Television Society Award for best comedy newcomer and the coveted Fipa D'Or Biarritz Award at the Cannes Television Awards.
 
Quirke spends much of her time supporting children's philanthropies and teaching children about the performing arts. In 2007, she opened her very first Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts. Now there are more than 100 academies that teach over 7,000 children between ages 4 and 18 across England the delights and disciplines of comedy and drama, musical theater, and film and television.
 
She is also an honorary member of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, a supporter of Children with Leukemia, Children in Crisis and Children's Hospice U.K. She also recently launched her own charity "PQA Trust" to help deprived children get performing arts training for building confidence and learning skills for life.
