HOMETOWN: Caroga Lake, New York
Hailing from a small town of less than 1,500 people in upstate New York, Kurtis Sprung's love of music and sports led him to find dance as an outlet combining his two interests. Kurtis quickly fell in love with multiple styles of dance, including acrobatics. After obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and Choreography, Kurtis has gone on to perform with the Bad Boys of Dance, the Phoenix Ballet and most recently choreographed and originated a principal role for the Beatles-inspired Cirque du Soleil show "Love." It was his role with this project that solidified him as a dancer and choreographer to watch. Following the success of his work with Cirque, Kurtis moved to Los Angeles to pursue his choreographic career. With much success already under his belt and endless passion for the dreams he has yet to achieve, Kurtis is definitely one to keep an eye on this season.
