Lifelong dance partners and real-life couple Luca and Alessandra are world champion Latin ballroom dancers. The duo has practically been connected since birth because their parents were friends before they were born. They grew up in a small city in Sicily called Misilmeri and began dancing together at the age of six. Although they both dabbled in other genres of dance, ballroom has always had their hearts. Last year was the most exciting and dynamic year in their career, as Luca and Alessandra were crowned the Latin champions at the Blackpool Dance Festival and the UK Open Dance Championships. Following this success, the married couple decided to retire from the competitive dance world and now work full-time on private gigs all over the world. "World of Dance" is the only stage that could bring them back into the competitive realm.
