Walking 10,000 steps daily is a 'fabricated’ goal, doctor says


A new study is challenging the belief that walking 10,000 steps a day is the magic number for a healthy lifestyle, saying that fewer steps less frequently might be as beneficial. “The more steps you can take is terrific, but 10,000, the number everybody has been aspiring to for forever, is a completely fabricated public relations campaign,” Dr. Jordan Metzl says.
