Gary Carpentier Blind Audition: "Home"
From: Oswego, New York
Current City: Liverpool, New York
Gary grew up playing baseball in the small town of Oswego, New York, making it on to first team for high school baseball players in All-Central New York. Outside of baseball, Gary was involved in chorus and a few musicals, even playing Gaston in a rendition of "Beauty and the Beast." After high school he went to college to play baseball and had a few major league scouts look at him, but ultimately dropped out and rediscovered his love of music. Currently he plays three or four days a week in local bars and restaurants, which is how he met his fiancée, Becky. Despite living paycheck to paycheck, she has supported his musical career. Having a chair turn around for Gary would be the biggest event of his life.
