EllieMae was born and raised on her family’s well-known, 15,000-acre dairy farm. From a young age, she learned all aspects of farm life, from milking and breeding cows to irrigation. EllieMae loves her farmer roots, but always had a passion for music. Like most, she first started singing in church, and taught herself guitar in the seventh grade. She got involved with the worship band and now has a band of her own that gigs around town. EllieMae is currently a senior at Iowa State University studying agricultural business but plans to focus on music while she can.
