Hometown: Coleridge, North Carolina
Resident: Nashville, Tennessee
Caeland grew up in the small town of Coleridge, where his family lives on a 300-acre farm with horses, cows and Carolina pines. For Caeland, music is a way of life. His dad is a bluegrass musician and taught Caeland to play the banjo when he was five. After college, Caeland moved to Nashville, looking to be a musician for hire after Red Marlow convinced him to make the jump. He spent a long time touring with Red as the dobro player in his band. Caeland's been in Nashville for 10 years now, collaborating as a musician, songwriter, producer and session singer. "The Voice" is Caeland's first opportunity as a solo artist.
