She steadily booked commercials as a child actor, but it was her version of "Lazy" by Bruno Mars that garnered 3.7 million views on YouTube and landed her a K-pop record deal. At 14 years old, Megan moved to South Korea with her supportive family, where they struggled to adjust to the culture and found themselves caught in a record deal she felt was unfair. In 2014, Megan's family fought their way out of her contract and she landed the lead role on Nickelodeon's "Make It Pop," which lasted two seasons.
