Simon Cowell is a record company executive and TV and film producer. His joint venture with Sony Music, Syco Entertainment, boasts such successful artists as One Direction, Little Mix, Il Divo and Fifth Harmony, while Syco's TV assets include The X Factor and Got Talent series. Cowell also launched American Idol. Cowell also launched American Idol in 2002, which ran for 15 seasons. He currently serves as executive producer and judge on NBC's America's Got Talent.
