English rock band Rusty was formed by Allan Mayes in 1972 and was joined by musician Elvis Costello at that time as well. The band parted ways in 1999, but Mayes and Costello have since reunited and released their debut album, Rusty: The Resurrection of Rust, in June 2022. Several of the songs on the album are cut from their original singles written in 1972, in addition to covers of icons such as Nick Lowe and Jim Ford. The musicians are accompanied by Costello's band The Imposters.
