Morrissey is a British singer-songwriter and founding member of The Smiths. From 1982 to 1987, the band released four albums, all of which debuted at either No. 1 or No. 2 on the U.K. album charts. Morrissey released his first solo album, Viva Hate, in 1988. It debuted at No. 1 in the U.K. and was eventually certified gold in the United States. Morrissey's subsequent successful albums include Your Arsenal, Vauxhall and I, You Are the Quarry, Ringleader of the Tormentors, Years of Refusal and World Peace Is None of Your Business. His twelfth studio album, California Son, will be released on May 24.
