Swimmer Michael Phelps is the most decorated Olympian in history. He's competed in five Olympic games, beginning with the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, and amassed 28 medals, including 23 gold. He holds the all-time record for most Olympic gold medals and most Olympic medals of any color. Phelps raced a great white shark as part of Discovery Channel's Shark Week on Phelps vs. Shark: Great Gold vs. Great White in 2017. Most recently, he partnered with Talkspace in May 2024 to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month.
