Mel Brooks is an EGOT-winning filmmaker, actor and comedian. He first came to fame for performing the comedy skit 2000 Year Old Man before creating the show Get Smart. Brooks' long list of hit films include The Producers, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Silent Movie, High Anxiety, Spaceballs and Robin Hood: Men in Tights. The Producers' Broadway adaptation was also a record-breaking success, winning 12 Tony Awards. On September 1, Brooks celebrates Blazing Saddles at Radio City Music Hall, and his latest book, Young Frankenstein: The Story of the Making of the Film, will be published in October.
