Mary Ellen Matthews

Mary Ellen Matthews is an entertainment portrait photographer best known for her work shooting Saturday Night Live’s bumper photos. She has worked with celebrities like Billie Eilish, Mick Jagger, U2 and more. Outside of her work for Saturday Night Live, Matthews has worked with companies such as Peacock, Netflix, Prime Video and more. Her work can also be seen in publications like Rolling Stone, Variety, Harper’s Bazaar Spain and more. Her book, The Art of the SNL Portrait, will be released in March 2025.
