Lupita Nyong'o is an international filmmaker and actress known for her Academy Award-winning role as Patsey in 12 Years a Slave and her role as Nakia in Black Panther. Nyong'o is also the first Kenyan actress to be nominated for and to win an Academy Award. She is famous for her roles on MTV's TV series Shuga and in the films Non-Stop, Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens and The Jungle Book. Nyong'o has also starred in Us, The 355, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and A Quiet Place: Day One. Nyong'o can next be seen on stage in the Shakespeare play Twelfth Night at the Delacorte Theater from August 7 to September 14.
