Kate Tempest is a British spoken word artist, poet and playwright. Her work includes Balance, her first album with band Sound of Rum; Everything Speaks in Its Own Way, her first collection of poems; and the plays Wasted and Hopelessly Devoted. The poem Brand New Ancients won the Ted Hughes Prize for innovation in poetry and a Herald Angel Award. Tempest released her first solo album, Everybody Down, in 2014, followed by Let Them Eat Chaos in 2016. Her latest album, The Book of Traps and Lessons, is out now.
