Jon Stewart is an Emmy Award-winning comedian, writer and longtime host of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central. He hosted his own self-titled talk show on MTV from 1993 to 1995 before taking over as host of The Daily Show in 1999. Stewart has won 18 Emmys for his work on the show as either a producer or writer. He is also the author of three books, 1998's Naked Pictures of Famous People, 2004's America (The Book) and 2010's Earth (The Book) alongside The Daily Show writing staff. Stewart makes his directorial debut with Rosewater, about journalist Maziar Bahari's imprisonment in Iran.
