Actor Jake Gyllenhaal made his film debut playing Billy Crystal's son in 1991's City Slickers. He landed his first leading role with 1999's October Sky, and two years later, he starred in the cult favorite Donnie Darko. In 2006, Gyllenhaal was Oscar-nominated for Brokeback Mountain. His other notable films include The Good Girl, The Day After Tomorrow, Zodiac, Love & Other Drugs, Nightcrawler, Nocturnal Animals, Stronger, Wildlife and The Guilty. In 2017, he starred in the New York City Center production of Sunday in the Park with George. Gyllenhaal can next be seen in the film Road House, which releases on Prime Video in March 2024.
