Ice Cube is a rapper and filmmaker. Considered one of the originators of gangsta rap, he got his start as a member of N.W.A and wrote many of the lyrics for the group's breakout 1988 album Straight Outta Compton. After leaving N.W.A, Ice Cube launched a successful solo career, starting with his 1990 debut album AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted. As an actor, he is best known for starring in the films Boyz n the Hood, Three Kings and Are We There Yet?, as well as the Ride Along, Friday, Barbershop and 21 Jump Street franchises. In June 2016, he founded the BIG3, a three-on-three professional basketball league. You can see him next in the film The High Note, hitting theaters in May 2020.
