Giada De Laurentiis is an Italian chef and star of the Food Network. She received her professional training at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and worked at L.A.'s Ritz Carlton Fine Dining Room and Wolfgang Puck's Spago restaurant before founding her own catering company, GDL Foods. In 2004, De Laurentiis began hosting the cooking show Everyday Italian on the Food Network, eventually earning an Emmy Award. She's gone on to host several shows, including Giada's Weekend Getaways and Giada at Home, as well as serve as a judge and mentor on The Next Food Network Star. De Laurentiis is also a New York Times best-selling author of seven cookbooks.
