Eddie Murphy is a Golden Globe-winning actor and comedian. Murphy first earned national attention as a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1980 to 1984. In 1982, he made his big-screen debut in 48 Hrs. and went on to star in films such as the Beverly Hills Cop series, Trading Places, Dr. Dolittle and The Nutty Professor. As a voice actor, Murphy has portrayed Donkey in the Shrek series and the dragon Mushu in Disney’s Mulan. In 2007, Murphy was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Dreamgirls. In October 2019, Murphy starred in the film Dolemite Is My Name.
