Blur is a British rock band formed in 1989 by members Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree. Starting with its 1991 debut, Leisure, Blur has released seven albums, five of which hit No. 1 in the U.K. The band has won five BRIT Awards and was twice nominated for the Mercury Music Award. Following a 12-year hiatus and the return of Coxon, Blur will release its eighth album, The Magic Whip, on April 27.
