William Patrick Corgan is a singer-songwriter and lead guitarist for the Smashing Pumpkins. The band released six albums prior to their breakup in 2000, including the Billboard 200 chart-topping Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness in 1995. After Corgan reformed the group, Smashing Pumpkins released three more albums starting in 2007. Corgan's debut solo album, TheFutureEmbrace, was released in 2005. His latest solo album, Cotillions, was released in November 2019.
