Billie Joe Armstrong

Billie Joe Armstrong is a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist for the band Green Day. The group has released 12 studio albums since 1990, including the chart-topping American Idiot in 2004, 21st Century Breakdown in 2009 and Revolution Radio in 2016. Armstrong also wrote the book and lyrics for the Tony Award-winning Broadway adaptation of American Idiot. In 2017, Green Day produced the documentary Turn It Around: The Story of East Bay Punk, which tells the story of the booming punk scene in the San Francisco Bay Area during the late '70s and '80s. Armstrong can be seen next on Green Day’s Asian tour in 2021.
