The Disappearance of Phoenix Coldon
The Disappearance of Phoenix Coldon

About the Show

Phoenix Coldon, a young African American woman, vanished on December 18, 2011. Her SUV was found abandoned in the middle of the road in a crime-ridden and depressed part of East St. Louis. Her car was reportedly still running with the key in the ignition; her glasses, purse, shoes and ID were all inside, but there was no sign of Phoenix. In the days and weeks that followed, Phoenix's parents pleaded with law enforcement to help find their daughter, but the investigation was slow to start and the media paid little attention to her story. The Disappearance of Phoenix Coldon follows investigative reporter Shawndrea Thomas and retired Deputy Chief of Police Joe Delia as they attempt to unravel the mysterious unsolved case in the hope of finding justice for Phoenix. With rare access to those closest to the case, Shawndrea and Joe meet face-to-face with Phoenix’s parents, family members and friends, many of whom have never spoken publicly. Following a series of startling revelations that lead them across the country, Shawndrea and Joe investigate the facts and expose truths and fabrications as they uncover exciting new leads. The Disappearance of Phoenix Coldon promises to take viewers on an emotional journey for answers and finally give this young woman the exposure she deserves.
