British singer-songwriter Boy George is universally recognized as one of the music scene's most iconic artists. In 2015, he was presented with an Ivor Novello Award - one of the world's highest honors given to songwriters - for Outstanding Contribution to British Music. Attracting high praise from a variety of publications that include Rolling Stone and MTV, and having gained global recognition, the Grammy Award-winning singer has created a worldwide presence that transcends age, race, color, creed, nationality and even religion.
To date, George has sold more than 100 million singles and in excess of 50 million albums as a performer and songwriter with super-group Culture Club, as well as a solo artist in his own right. Currently, George is on an 80-city world tour with the iconic band. Away from his musical successes, George is an author of two best-selling autobiographies and has been the co-producer, songwriter and on-stage star of the award-winning musical "Taboo" on both New York's Broadway and London's West End. All of these achievements have led to Boy George enjoying the status of a global icon.
