Actor Bio

Lauren Ash stars as no-nonsense assistant manager Dina who, in her quest to follow the rules, often misses social queues on NBC's hit comedy "Superstore." Her heart is available for the right guy and in the meantime, she fills the void with her love of all animals and her distaste for the employees and customers at Cloud 9.

Ash co-stars in the Netflix original animated series "She-Ra and the Princesses of Power" and has the comedy podcast "Giving It Up for Less," where she has friends, celebs and colleagues join her to overshare real stories about their lives. Guests have included America Ferrera, Chrissy Metz, Nico Santos, Heidi Gardner, her mom and Emily Hampshire.

Ash played Hortense in the Comedy Central series "Another Period," which co-starred Natasha Leggero and Riki Lindhome. She also co-starred with Rebel Wilson on ABC's "Super Fun Night," which won the People's Choice Award for Best New Comedy Series.

Hailing from Toronto, Ash is an alumnus of the Second City Toronto and Chicago main stages and is one of only four Canadians ever chosen to perform on the Chicago stage. She has earned six wins throughout the past 10 years in various categories at the Canadian Comedy Awards, including the Canadian Comedy Person of the Year.

Other film and TV credits include "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2," "Lars and the Real Girl," the Oscar- nominated film "The Disaster Artist," "Scare Tactics," "Howie Do It" and countless Canadian series. She was nominated in 2017 for an ACTRA Award for her performance in the film "Dirty Singles" and was the winner of a Canadian Screen Award for a guest-starring role on CTV sitcom "Spun Out."
