Todd Palin is a lifelong commercial fisherman in Alaska's Bristol Bay, where his Yupik Eskimo family has

been salmon fishing for many generations. He is also a former North Slope production operator in the oil

fields of Prudhoe Bay.

Palin is a four-time champion of the Iron Dog, the world's longest and toughest snowmobile race spanning

over 2,000 miles of frozen wilderness from Alaska's Mat-Su Valley to Nome to Fairbanks.

Palin is the husband of former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican Vice Presidential nominee, Sarah

Palin. As the First Gentleman of Alaska (informally called "The First Dude"), Palin focused on vocational

training opportunities and programs for Alaska workers.

In addition to appearing in the top-rated TLC show "Sarah Palin's Alaska," Palin assisted on the show's

logistics and production.

Palin is an active private pilot who enjoys flying in his Piper Super Cub and his Cessna 185 float plane.

His other hobbies include hunting, fishing, hiking, building, and snowmachining. Todd and Sarah have five

children and two grandchildren. They live in Wasilla, Alaska.
