Melissa Villaseñor returns to “Saturday Night Live” for her sixth season. She has entertained viewers with her standout impressions of Dolly Parton, Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Villaseñor is an actress, artist, musician and stand-up comedian who has headlined more than 100 clubs and colleges around the country.
In 2019, she was one of CNN’s Women in Comedy and was featured on Jerry Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.” In 2021, she hosted the Independent Spirit Awards, headlined a national stand-up comedy tour, and filmed a comedy special for Netflix’s The Stand-Ups (premiering late 2021). Additional television credits include “Awkwafina is Nora From Queens” and the HBO series “Barry” and “Crashing.” She has showcased her voice talents in Disney films “Toy Story 4” and “Ralph Breaks the Internet” and series including Comedy Central’s “TripTank” and Cartoon Network’s “OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes,” “Adventure Time,” and in Disney+ upcoming “Kung Fu Panda.”
She hails from Whittier, Calif. Her birthday is Oct. 9.
