Sasheer Zamata returns to "Saturday Night Live" for her fourth season.

Zamata has wowed audiences with her impressions of Michelle Obama, Rihanna and Solange Knowles and her recurring character Janelle, a naïve teenager with a dance vlog. After graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in drama, she moved to New York in 2009 and began performing improv and sketch at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Zamata's web series "Pursuit of Sexiness" was named one of Variety's Top 10 Web Series in 2013, while Cosmopolitan named her one of "14 Funny Women to Watch" in 2014. Zamata is a stand-up comedian and performs live all over the world. She appears in the 2016 movies "Sleight" and "Yoga Hosers" and will appear in the upcoming films "The Outdoorsman" and "Deidra and Laney Rob a Train." She also serves as ACLU's Celebrity Ambassador for Women's Rights.

Zamata is from Indianapolis and currently lives in New York City. Her birthday is May 6.
