Emmy winner Kate McKinnon returns for her sixth season of "Saturday Night Live."

McKinnon won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2016, following nominations for her work in 2015 and 2014. In addition, she earned a 2014 American Comedy Award for TV Best Supporting Actress and a Critics' Choice Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series in 2016.

McKinnon has entertained viewers with her critically acclaimed impression of Hillary Rodham Clinton, as well as other notable impressions, including Justin Bieber and Ellen DeGeneres. She is also known for her standout "Weekend Update" turns as artist Cecilia Giminez, Russian meteor witness Olga Povlatsky and Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

McKinnon can be been seen in Paul Feig's reboot of "Ghostbusters" and the recent hit "Sisters." She will also appear in the upcoming films "Office Christmas Party" and "Rock That Body." In addition, she has lent her voice to the animated feature films "Angry Birds" and "Finding Dory" and the animated series "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy." McKinnon also co-hosted the 2016 Film Independent Spirit Awards with Kumail Nanjiani of "Silicon Valley."

McKinnon studied theater at Columbia University. She is a native of Sea Cliff, New York, and currently lives in New York City. Her birthday is January 6.
