A Week in the Life of SNL Host Andy Samberg

He's back!

Two years after saying goodbye to Saturday Night Live, Andy Samberg returns to host the 39th season finale.

While we're sure Andy remembers his days as a cast member, serving as a host presents an entirely different challenge - and schedule. Here, we recap what the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star has been up to leading up to Saturday's show.

Early on in the week, Andy joined old friend Kenan Thompson to film promos for his show. Notice he's no longer digital short star Andy Samberg, but Golden Globe-winning actor Andy Samberg.

With Andy prepping to host, the writers and cast got to work on Tuesday crafting the final scripts of the season.

And it looks like their hard work was well received during the final read-thru of the season, where the cast, writers, producers and department heads all gathered to laugh and see what would become our final show.

A day later, it was back in front of the camera for Andy, who shot new promos alongside musical guest St. Vincent on the stage in studio 8H. Fun fact: St. Vincent's real name is Annie.

Later, the actor took to Tweeting as part of his #AskSNL takeover at @nbcsnl.
