Tim Griffin stars as Detective Augie Blando in NBC's gritty crime drama "Prime Suspect."

Chicago native Griffin has amassed a list of credits over the years and has solidified his reputation as one of Hollywood's most versatile actors.

In 1996, director John Singleton gave Griffin his first break in features, casting him in "Higher Learning" alongside Jennifer Connelly and Laurence Fishburne. His feature films include Jon Favreau's "Iron Man," "The Bourne Supremacy," "Leatherheads," "The Men Who Stare at Goats," "Cloverfield" and "Star Trek." He is currently filming "The Collection," a sequel to the horror film "The Collector," and will appear in the upcoming "Abduction," starring Taylor Lautner, due out in September.

His television credits include a recurring role as T.R. Knight's brother on "Grey's Anatomy," as well as the autistic Richie Grayson on "Party of Five." Griffin also appeared on "Against the Grain" and "General Hospital."

Griffin graduated from the University of Vermont where he received a bachelor's degree in political philosophy and English literature.

He resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
