The WWE Universe Will Never Be The Same After WrestleMania 41 When These Superstars Clash

The WWE Universe is on pins and needles ahead of WrestleMania 41.

By Chris Phelan

WrestleMania 41 is — finally — mere hours away, and the excitement amongst the WWE Universe is at a fever pitch!

When the dust settles in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 19 and 20 — live on Peacock — the landscape of WWE will be forever changed. This year, not only are potential new champions waiting in the wings, but new eras are waiting to be introduced. As is par for the course this time of year, WWE's best storylines have been weaving, twisting, and turning in the months leading up to WrestleMania, and the WWE Universe is just moments away from seeing how everything will come to a head.

This year's WrestleMania has significant ramifications for the rest of 2025 — here's what white-hot storylines WWE fans are hyper-focused on and looking forward to the most this weekend!

Who will walk out of Las Vegas as Undisputed WWE Champion?

It's just days before WrestleMania and the WWE Universe is still divided about who will leave Las Vegas holding the Undisputed WWE Championship. It doesn't get much bigger than Cody Rhodes defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against a newly villainous John Cena — and it's really any man's match to win.

Of course, the result of the Undisputed WWE Championship match leads to two intriguing developments. No matter what happens in Las Vegas, there will be immense shockwaves throughout WWE — and it all revolves around John Cena.

There are two major outcomes of this match for fans to consider.

If Cody Rhodes retains the title and continues his undeniable run as Undisputed WWE Champion, where does that leave John Cena? After his shocking turn to the dark side at Elimination Chamber, does Cena really seem like the kind of person to just fade away into retirement? If this new, unpredictable, and villainous John Cena fails to capture his record-breaking world championship at WrestleMania, something even more sinister could spark inside the former fan favorite.

Conversely, if Cody Rhodes' story ends at the hands of John Cena, where does that leave the American Nightmare? The WWE Universe has embraced Cody like few champions before him, and a WWE under the thumb of Cena, who no longer cares about anyone but himself, could be more than fans bargained for.

It's clear that both Superstars are more than capable of holding WWE's top championship — it'll just come down to who will do what it takes to ensure they're not the one to take a loss in the biggest main event of the year!

Will Jey Uso make good on his Royal Rumble win?

The brutality Gunther has shown over the past few weeks has been harrowing, to say the least. While Jey Uso has a date with destiny at WrestleMania against the Ring General, Gunther has made it his mission to give his challenger a preview of what to expect when they meet in Vegas — just ask Jey's twin brother, Jimmy:

Blood has been spilled — but will it motivate Jey or deter him? The only question that remains just days before Jey Uso challenges Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship is this:

Will Uso live up to his "Main Event Jey" nickname? Or will he be one of a handful of WWE Superstars to definitively win the Royal Rumble match only to fail to capture the championship at WrestleMania?

One thing's for sure — Jey Uso will be in rare company no matter the outcome, and it's ultimately up to him to decide how he will be talked about in professional wrestling's history books. Thankfully, the star has more than just a few people cheering him on!

How Will Paul Heyman fit into the Night One main event?

On paper, the Triple Threat match between CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins main-eventing Night One of WrestleMania doesn't need any stipulations or wild cards attached to it.

But the reality is that Paul Heyman will be at ringside — in CM Punk's corner — and fans are waiting with bated breath to see how that works out for the Wiseman. After being Roman Reigns' go-to advocate for so long, it's a little jarring seeing Heyman by the side of CM Punk (even though he's been in that role before during Punk's first WWE run a decade ago).

At some point, it's a safe bet that Heyman will be forced to decide on who he genuinely supports — and that makes his involvement a ticking time bomb. Will Heyman influence the match's final outcome? Does he have a trick or two up his sleeve? Or will he stay true to his word and back CM Punk just like the good old days, leaving Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in the dark once again?

There are so many questions… and not a single answer.

You can tune in to Peacock to watch WrestleMania 41 on Saturday, April 19 & Sunday, April 20. In the meantime, catch up on all things WWE Universe on Peacock.
