Leslie Jordan passes away

Beloved actor Leslie Jordan passed away on October 24, 2022 at the age of 67, Variety reports.

According to the outlet, Leslie was driving his car in Hollywood when it's suspected he suffered from a medical emergency and crashed into the side of a building.

One of Jordan’s most notable roles was that of the socialite Beverly Leslie in the classic NBC sitcom Will & Grace. Beverly was the wealthy rival to one of the main characters Karen Walker, played by Megan Mullally. Jordan won an Emmy Award for the role, and he went on to dazzle in many projects, including American Horror Story and Ugly Betty.

Jordan was born on April 29, 1955 in Tennessee. Off screen, he was known for his bubbly upbeat demeanor, gaining millions of follows on Instagram during the pandemic for his delightful videos.

“The world is definitely a much darker place today without the love and light of Leslie Jordan,” his agent said in a statement. “Not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation at one of its most difficult times. What he lacked in height he made up for in generosity and greatness as a son, brother, Artist, comedian, partner and human being. Knowing that he has left the world at the height of both his professional and personal life is the only solace one can have today.”

He will be dearly missed. Rest in peace, Leslie.
