Who Is Dead on Grosse Pointe Garden Society? What We Know After Episode 7
Are fans any closer to finding out the identity of Quiche?
The evergreen question on everyone's mind while watching NBC's Grosse Pointe Garden Society? Who on earth is Quiche — aka the person Birdie (Melissa Fumero), Catherine (Aja Naomi King), Brett (Ben Rappaport), and Alice (AnnaSophia Robb) apparently killed?
While we're not much closer to getting our answer seven episode in, there are a few people we can rule out. Read on to find out everything we know so far.
Who is dead on Grosse Pointe Garden Society?
The short answer? We still don't know.
By the end of the latest episode, Episode 7's "Germination," fans are led to believe that Quiche — aka the unidentified corpse buried in the garden — could be Gary. In a flashback, we see a shaken Catherine come home after discarding the dead body, eventually confessing to Tucker (Jocko Sims) that they wouldn't have to worry about Gary (aka the man who she has an affair with) anymore. The natural conclusion? He's dead... right?
However, at the end of the episode in another flash forward, Catherine and Tucker see Gary at the bar in town. Meaning he's very much still alive following the murder. In previous episodes we've also seen garden president Marilyn, Birdie's housekeep Olga, Joel (Matthew Davis) the police chief, and Brett's ex-wife Melissa in the future, signaling that none of them are Quiche. What we do know? Quiche was driving a black Cadillac, wearing New Balance sneakers, and wrapped in Marilyn's prized quilt.
Grosse Pointe Garden Society gets a schedule change
Though the mystery was airing every Sunday night at 10/9c following Suits LA, beginning April 4 it begins airing Fridays at 8/7c on NBC. If you miss any episodes, you can catch them all on Peacock.
Once you get to Episode 6's "Planned Parenthood," How to Get Away with Murder fans will be excited to spot a reunion between Michaela (Aja Naomi King) and Connor, as Jack Falahee took on a guest starring role in the series. He plays a realtor named Pierce attempting to recruit King's Catherine to his firm.
Falahee confessed to NBC Insider that following the pandemic and 2023 WGA strikes, he asked friends to let him know if they heard of any roles or auditions. King came through in spades when she heard about an opportunity for him to to appear on Grosse Pointe.
"Without missing a beat, Aja called me two days later and said that there was a fun little role on her show, and if I'd be interested, she'd put in a good word for me," Falahee said. "I cried because it meant so much to me, honestly. I just think that that's a testament to who she is, you know? She walks the walk."
