Where Is Hanako Greensmith's Violet on Chicago Fire? (April 16, 2025)
Violet is missing out on Firehouse 51's latest action, but don't worry: She's not far.
When the going gets tough on Chicago Fire, you can rely on 51's Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith) to get going. So when the courageous paramedic is M.I.A., viewers are quick to notice.
Violet has been going through it lately as she navigates the murky waters of a new relationship. There are certainly sparks between her and the handsome young lawyer she's met, but she seems more concerned about her ex-turned-friend, firefighter Sam Carver (Jake Lockett), amid his rehab-inspired furlough. Are those feelings for Carver squashed, or is something brewing beneath the surface? As if Violet's romantic hurdles weren't enough, she's working hard, never failing to fly into action whenever the firefighters need.
Violet always steals the show, so you can bet Chi-Hards will note her absence during the April 16 episode of Chicago Fire. Find out why Violet is missing from Firehouse 51 on Season 13, Episode 18 ("Post Mortem"), below.

Where is Hanako Greensmith's Violet on Chicago Fire this week? (April 16, 2025)
Violet missed out on the latest action at Firehouse 51 due to picking up a shift at a neighboring firehouse with her paramedic partner, Lyla "Lizzie" Novak (Jocelyn Hudon). Viewers learned of the paramedics' whereabouts after Carver made his triumphant return to his post. His Lieutenant Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) knew he'd be curious about Violet's whereabouts, so she gave him an update.
"We are happy to have you back in rotation," Stella told him. "Violet and Novak are bummed to miss you, but they're pulling a shift over at 90."
"I'll catch 'em next time," Carver smiled, happy to return to the grind.
Carver and Violet are due for a long-awaited reunion at Firehouse 51

Residual feelings seem to be lingering between Carver and Violet, but between his ongoing battle with substance abuse and her new relationship, things are complicated. The last time Violet and Carver spoke in person was intense, but it led Carver to get the help he needed. As he returns to 51 a new man, a long overdue conversation between him and Violet is on the horizon.
