Present Day
- Devastated after being outed for his affairs, Gary arrives at Catherine's house (with a gun) and convinces her husband to let him stay in their pool house. He taunts Catherine, threatening to reveal the truth about their relationship if she kicks him out.
- Patty (Nancy Travis), Gary's pregnant wife, Melissa, and garden club president Marilyn are seen all pitching in to help sew a quilt that looks similar to the blanket the corpse is wrapped in the future.
- Brett continues to bash heads with Melissa and Connor, this time over their son's school project about their family tree. The exes later bond while fixing the poster, with Melissa pointing out she "never stood a chance" against Alice because of Brett's feelings for her.
- Cracks show in Alice and Doug's marriage after she loses her job and they can't afford their apartment. He now wants to consider moving into his parent's rental home and taking a job with their company.
- Ford manipulates Birdie into giving him money for an abortion after he apparently got his girlfriend pregnant. It turns out he was lying and just wanted an Xbox.
- After meeting Payton's mom to beg for her job back, Alice sees a picture of him hunting on her phone. Now even more convinced the teen killed her dog Molly, Alice gains access to their house by saying she can get Payton into Michigan because she knows the dean of admissions. The Future, aka "6 months later"
- Birdie tells Joel that she and her friends "kind of murdered someone" at some point during the night of the gala. She then gives him the victim's phone. Joel drops the phone at the shoe store where we saw Gary working in present day. The New Balance shoes worn by the corpse are also seen on display at the store.
- She gives details about the murder, saying there was blood everywhere and the corpse had "too many holes" in its body. They used multiple gardening tools for the killing and ammonia and hydrogen peroxide for the cleanup. Joel hides the murder weapons in the police station's evidence room.
- Brett, Catherine, and Alice show up looking for Birdie at her house, but they find Olga instead. She instantly notices their clothes are covered in blood stains. Olga later asks Birdie what's going on and says, "Whatever mess you've gotten yourself into, I can't clean it up this time."
- Joel and Birdie are a couple!
- While trying to figure out where to move the body, the foursome decide to give it a nickname: Quiche.
